Paradise Valley is a palm-filled canyon in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, with turquoise natural pools, small cafés and amazing views. It is one of the most popular day trips from Tamraght and Agadir, and the ride there is part of the fun.

How long does it take?

From Tamraght the ride takes around 40 minutes, with stops for photos. The road goes inland through the village of Aourir and then climbs into the valley with many curves, so take your time.

The route

  • Leave Tamraght towards Aourir on the coast road.
  • In Aourir, follow the signs towards Imouzzer / Paradise Valley.
  • The road becomes a mountain road with nice views over the river and palm trees.
  • Park your scooter near the cafés at the entrance of the valley and walk to the pools (about 20–30 minutes on foot).

When to go

Go in the morning to avoid the heat and the crowds. The pools are prettiest after the rainy season; in late summer the water level can be low. Avoid riding back in the dark.

What to bring

  • Your helmets (included with every rental)
  • Water and some snacks, even if there are small cafés
  • Swimsuit, towel and good shoes for the walk
  • Cash for parking and drinks
  • A charged phone with offline maps

Riding tips

  • The road has many curves: ride slowly and keep to your side.
  • Watch out for goats, donkeys and gravel on the road.
  • Fill up with fuel in Aourir before going up into the valley.
  • If two people ride, our Cappuccino S and Mojito S are both comfortable for two.
